On day 01 depart from Bangalore at 10 PM and overnight drive to Kalasa, a small scenic town situated in the Western Ghats of Chikmagalur district. Kalasa is blessed by nature with beautiful hills, rivers, waterfalls, forests, coffee/tea estates, temples, etc., (Coffee/Tea breaks on the way).

On arrival at Kalasa (Horanadu), check in to the hotel for fresh up and after fresh up visit to the nearest Annapoorneshwari Temple at Horanadu. Horanadu is a place of enchanting natural landscape in Chikmagalur district, ancient temple of the goddess Annapoorneshwari here has been restored and renamed the Adi – Shaktyatmaka Shree Annapoorneshwari. The main deity of Annapoorneshwari is made of gold. It is said that a person who seeks the blessings of Goddess would never have any scarcity for food in life. Get the divine blessings of Goddess Annapoorneshwari and proceed for the next activities at Kalasa.

OFF ROAD JEEP DRIVE TO THE FOLLOWING PLACES

KYATANAMAKKI: Kyatanamakki, is a hill station with a spectacular landscape located near Horanadu and about 20 Km from Kalasa. Kyatanamakki is a fully off road route 4x4 jeeps plays around the hill base to top and offers a superb scenic beauty at top of the hill. Unpack the packed breakfast and have the yummy breakfast. Enjoy the nature and surroundings, especially the view of nearby hills are breathtaking. Forget yourself for some time in the beautiful nature.

HALLIMANE: Then proceed to Hallimane House (Halli means Village and Mane means House), a 210 year old well maintained house located 4 Km from Horanadu. The Hallimane family is well known in Kalasa. There is a shop beside Hallimane house where you can pick up coffee, tea, honey and pain-relieving healing oils here. Here we offer you a complementary Special Natural drink (a combination of soda with 6 masalas and 18 herbs). Then drive to another beautiful place, Ambathirtha.

AMBATHIRTHA: Ambathirtha is one of the stunning spots located at the distance of 2 Km from Kalasa. The beauty and tranquility of the thick forest, the chirping of birds, multihued butterflies, insects, exotic wildflowers and the tapestry of greenery will definitely inspire you. The river is dotted with black rocks that jut out forming a landscape of assorted shapes and sizes. Many Kannada movies have been shot at this beautiful place. From here, you can enjoy awesome views of Anebetta (Elephant Hill) looming on the horizon. Enjoy the beauty and you can also play in the water (if the water flow is slow). However, be careful when entering the water because there are whirlpools and strong undercurrents that can wash you away. Packed lunch will be provided at Ambathirtha.

HANGING BRIDGE: After visiting Ambathirtha, proceed for the next beautiful spot of Kalasa, the Hanging Bridge, a beautiful Hanging Bridge is built across River Bhadra.

ABRAGUDIGE WATERFALLS: Later off road jeep drive to Abragudige Waterfalls, a beautiful waterfall located at a distance of 10 Km from Kalasa. This beautiful waterfall is located in a private estate and in a scenic place. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the place and also you play in the waterfall. After enjoying in the waterfall.

CAMPFIRE AND NIGHT STAY IN TENT: Then drive to foot of Gaaligudda, the best place for nature lovers in the Western Ghats. Camp fire with music makes the evening memorable at Gaaligudda. Day ends with the dinner and night stay in the Tents.

SAMSE TEA ESTATE: Morning return to the hotel to fresh up and after having breakfast, proceed to the Horanadu View Point, where you have beautiful view of Horanadu and surrounding hills. Then drive to beautiful Tea Estate at Samse. Samse is located at a distance of 10 Km from Kalasa. The tea estate is very beautiful and scenic where nature has spread a loving carpet of green. The Sri Sarva Siddhi Ganapathy temple in the middle of the tea estate adds more beauty to the place and one will feel that he is in the cradle of nature and God. This awesome place will take some time to enjoy the beauty of the nature. Then drive to Bhadra River.

WATER RAFTING OR KAYAKING BHADRA RIVER: After visiting the beautiful tea estates at Samse, now it's time to explore some adventure activity at Bhadra River in Western Ghats. (River Rafting at Bhadra river is available from June to September and Kayaking at Bhadra river is available from October to May) River Rafting at Bhadra river is considered as one of the best and scenic white water rafting sections of south India. It's a mild river and rafting in river Bhadra is smooth without any hassles to those who take to the water here. Villages, forests and plantations situated on the banks for the river provide excellent location for rafting, which passes through some thick jungles, is fun and exciting. After enjoying the rafting at Bhadra river, drive to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore you will be transferred to the railway station or your residence.
